The Painted Turtle seeks enthusiastic photographer who enjoys working with children to capture the magic of our summer camp!

The Painted Turtle is an innovative camp and family care center for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and a member of the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. It is the mission of the Painted Turtle to provide a year-round, life-changing environment for these children and their families -- one that allows children to participate in an authentic camp experience by supporting their medical needs and offers their families care, education, and respite. The Painted Turtle seeks to reach beyond illness, to inspire children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses to become their greater selves.

Job Details:
The position of Camp Photographer is a paid summer staff position, running from June 1st until August 25th. Housing and meals are provided with this position. The camp is located in Lake Hughes, CA, in Los Angeles County.

Job Description:
The Camp Photographer captures the magic and spirit of each camp session. Photographs are used in a variety of ways, including a slide show, camper newsletter, website, scrap book, and promotional materials for the Camp. The Camp Photographer may also lead photography workshops for campers. The Camp Photographer is considered a member of the program team and will live on camp in staff housing. The Camp Photographer is also assigned to a cabin to assist when not taking pictures.

Requirements:
1. Minimum 19 years of age
2. Experience in photography (photographing children a plus)
3. Creativity and ability to assemble photographs for a slideshow, newsletter, etc.
4. Ability to create and lead workshops with campers
5. Team player attitude
