The Digital Imaging Specialist team member represents a bds digital imaging client at Photo Specialty Retail Stores/Chains such as Ritz Camera, Calumet Photo, Samy’s Camera, etc. to develop/build on existing relationships for the purpose of educating both store teams and consumers on digital imaging products, primary focus is on the Digital SLR category, but also representing the Point & Shoot and Camcorder product lines. Digital Imaging Specialist members will visit stores on a rotational basis for Retail Sales Teams training in both informal and formal settings; weekend assisted sales days, special events, and consumer product trainings. Digital Imaging team members are accountable to track progress for their accounts/market, create actionable plans to increase sales for the client’s digital imaging products. The Specialist is responsible for recruiting potential new dealers for the client, completing a profile and referring the dealer candidate to the client’s Telesales team for processing. Specialists may become involved with accounts in assisting with best merchandise mix for a store-depending on the account. Specialists will interact on a monthly basis with client Sales Managers, Sales Team, and client Product Managers for feedback, action plans for retail stores, and product training (1 " 2 times per year), as well as work at selected trade shows nationally.







ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

§ Manage Assigned territory:

· Identify, rank, and manage stores based on opportunities within each store/retailer

· develop rotation for store visits, trainings, assisted sales based on store ranking (action plans)

· develop maintain relationships with store personnel, focus on relationship with store management/owner

· Identify potential new dealers for client based on criteria (written) and refer to Sales Team

· Promote stronger sell through/increase market share through effective selling focused events on Weekends and during peak selling periods.

§ Corporate Communication: Weekly team conference calls to discuss team action plans, identify trends, market

§ Monthly Communication via conference call with Sales Team to discuss potential dealer recruiting status (2 potential calls monthly)

§ Monthly Communication with Sales Managers via conference call and/or in person to discuss market account status/action plans

§ Bi-Weekly scheduled one on one meetings with Supervisor to discuss individual progress, goal setting, professional development

§ Data Reporting: data input of recap of store visits, daily activities, etc reported on line via web based system

§ Weekly expense reports completed for “out of home market” travel/expenses

§ Monthly recap of monthly activities, action plans, successes and areas for development to be forwarded to Supervisor and ultimately, the client

§ Other functions as requested by supervisor.







SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS


§ Must be detail-oriented.

§ Must demonstrate strong time management skills

§ Must demonstrate the ability to train both small and large groups, preferably in a technical or technically related arena

§ Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point applications.

§ Must be able to accept project changes and respond/adapt supportively to change.

§ Must have the ability to manage process and functions within traditional work environment.

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

§ Must be willing to travel up to 50% (over nights for remote market coverage, trade show and team trainings)








EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


§ Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

§ 3 years in industry and/or transferable skills from different industry.

§ Experience in providing quality, responsiveness, and personal attention to client accounts through excellent customer service and relationship building.

§ Experience in managing the web based data, value added reports, audit programs, data capturing, and interactive reporting.

§ Expert knowledge of Digital SLR technology and photography

§ 2-3 years in Digital Imaging sales and training

§ 2-3 years preferred in public speaking
