Description:Lifetouch National School Studios in Prattville, AL is looking for an experienced, energetic, and open minded studio/portrait photographer to serve as the Lead Photographer for Senior Portraits and Special Events.Lifetouch National School Studios is the nations leading school photographer with over 70 years experience. We are an employee owned organization that focuses on delivering the highest quality products and services to all of our schools, parents, and students. Lifetouch has several product lines including school day portraits, seniors, sports, prom/dance, yearbooks, Preschool portraits, and family portraits through JC Penny and Target Studios. As a Lead Photographer for Seniors and Special Events you will be required to photograph senior portraits, sports portraits, prom/dance portraits, and other events. You will also be required to manage the photography team and assist in the repair, maintenance, and inventory of territory photographic equipment so as to support the territory efforts to retain and profitably grow the business. You will also have expected to assist in the development of new backgrounds, poses, and lighting techniques to increase order sales. Candidates will be required to provide a folio of prior portrait work during interviews. Primary Duties & Requirements Include but are not limited to: * Required to compotent or have experience with photographing senior portraits, sports portraits, proms/dances, and other action/candid photography. * Ability to use both film and digital media cameras. * Expected to be able to work days, nights, and weekends as needed throughout the photography seasons. Assists in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of photographers * Must be puntual to jobs sites, in many cases required to be at a job site by 7:00am. * Must have reliable transportation, equipment will need to be transported in your vehicle. * Provide training to new photographers. * Establishes photographers' schedules. Supervises, coaches, and develops photographers. * Assists in conducting performance reviews for photographers. * Manage the day-to-day performance of photographers, conduct daily team meetings to provide motivation and information on new and existing photography programs and equipment. * Provides training to territory employees on new photography programs and equipment. * Supervise the selection and assembly of photography equipment according to subject material, anticipated conditions, and knowledge of function and limitations of various types of cameras, lenses, films, and accessories. * Develop and incorporate new backgrounds, poses, and lighting techniques. * Assists in the inventory, maintenance, and repair of all photographic equipment. * Demonstrate care and concern for the safety and health of self and others by promoting and modeling all safety rules and guidelines. * Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred; High School Diploma of equivalent, acceptable. Past Experience in supervisory or management role; or equivalent combination of education and training. Proven photography experience; minimum 1-3 years studios/portrait experience. * Strong problem solving skills. * Strong leadership skills. * Self-Motivated. * Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. * Full use of dependable, insured automobile. * Ability lift and move up to 75lbs. » Please quote Get Photography Jobs when applying
