Division: Slingshot Manufacturer: Slingshot Shared Coverage Program Position Summary: The SFMR’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of client trainings; sales support, merchandising, demonstration and special events in the Representatives designated reseller’s storefronts. The SFMR’s are responsible for incremental Month over Month and Year over Year store level sales growth for their assigned resellers. Position Qualifications: Minimum requirement of a High School diploma with a preferred 2+ yr. college degree and a minimum of six months training or sales retail experience. Be thoroughly knowledgeable about all Best Buy, Circuit City and other selected retailer requirements. Have no prior issues in any retailer chain. Proven sales ability is preferred. Awareness of retail sales incentive programs is desired. Prior experience working on a similar structured program is preferred but not required. Representatives must be willing to drive throughout their designated market on a regular basis and have reliable transportation to do so. Position Knowledge and Abilities: • Be computer literate with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office sweet of applications. • Ability to report sales successes. • Are results driven. • Ability to work independently without constant supervision. • Must maintain a thorough knowledge of client technology surrounding the category of program they are being assigned to o PC computer, mobile computing, computer peripheral, television, Home Audio, printing, consumer electronics, etc. • Be professional and presentable. The representative is an extension of the various manufacturers’ teams and needs to portray a consistently professional image. • Representative should be a self starter and be able to schedule time effectively. • Representatives must be available for weekends and weekdays with a flexible schedule to allow for changes throughout the program. Full time representatives will be asked occasionally to travel for special events and trade shows. • Representatives will need to perform a specified number of Product Sales Demonstrations on weekends. Sony SFMR Position Description Page 2 March 2008 Position Duties • Training o Provide ongoing sales floor and/or classroom training for all department personnel at minimum of once per month. Manufacturer’s Product Knowledge • Hardware and Solution overview • Features & Benefits • Customer Profiles where applicable Demonstration capability • Sales skills assessment and coaching where applicable o New Product introduction training: Email sales documents, datasheets, FAQ’s and any other retail approved support documentation immediately following any product announcement. Review new products with store personnel in all stores within 14 days. • Sales Support o Identifies sales opportunities at store level (ad’s, inventory and traffic awareness) o Schedules and conducts sales events at store level o Insures inventory issues either too high or out of stock are communicated to the manufacturer and retailer appropriately. • Assisted Selling Support o During the fourth quarter the SFMR will be required to adjust their schedules to meet the Quality Control and support functions of the Assisted Selling Events (Fri, Sat & Sun) This will include but may not be limited to, face to face interviews, regular store visits to check quality of Assisted Sales Representatives, filling in for reps that are not able to make their assigned shifts and providing a weekly summary reports for their assigned area. • Merchandising o Installs and maintains displays to standards and works with stores to identify additional display opportunities o Monitor merchandising and demo unit maintenance and fix and/or report recurring issues. Depending on retailer, works with retailer systems to insure displays are set to POG. Price and specification signage is accurate at all times o Builds end caps, as needed or as flex space is identified o Places approved signage and POP, as needed. Identifies additional signage opportunities at store level and communicates them to management Sony SFMR Position Description Page 3 March 2008 • Communication: o Internal Communication: Maintain consistent and regular phone and email communication with District or Regional Manager Accurately completes call reports, within 24 hours of Store Visit • Detailing state of stores, traffic, sales trends, competitive activity, inventory issues, etc Escalate in-store issues promptly through appropriate channels Communicate competitive information consistently with photos and specific details. Identifies competitive advantages and submits ides to combat at local level Participate in bi-weekly conference calls or as deemed necessary • Operational Responsibilities: • Consistently meet pre defined visit frequency goals by reseller • Consistently meet pre defined expense goals Note: Please mention Get Photography Jobs (GetPhotographyJobs.com) in your cover letter when applying.
