Photo Marketing Intern (Edison)

Sinar Bron Imaging, the leader in high end professional photographic products, is looking for a part time marketing intern/assistant to satisfy our need for marketing communication, marketing administration, collateral generation, and PR.

The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of style, basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to edit copy or place text in templates, ability to draft press releases from raw input, ability to organize communication between our graphic design team and publications for editorial and advertisement placements.

As our marketing intern you will not be making coffee, running errands, or filing. You will be responsible for leading marketing campaigns, working with professional photographers, writing articles, writing press releases, working with graphic designers to create new marketing collateral and advertisements.
Our idea candidate is not someone who is looking for a job to fill the time or earn a few bucks. The ideal person is a junior or senior in college who is looking to grab a hold of marketing projects and get work done. In this fast paced environment, your goal should be to add another bullet point to your resume for each week at Sinar Bron.
Our office is in Edison NJ, but we do most of our work in NYC. Applicants from either NYC or the Edison NJ area should feel free to apply.

Specific Duties:
- Run student photography contests at top photo schools
- Create and sell editorial concepts to magazines
- Manage our magazine advertising
- Create new brochures and advertisements with graphic designers
- Organize lectures at top photo schools
- Interview photographers and write "Profiles in Photography" stories for web and print distribution
- Compile and manage media contacts
- Author press releases from raw marketing material
- Distribute press releases and follow up with press contacts
- Edit and format new marketing material for distribution to retail outlets (design and wordsmithing)
- Grow our online blog /community presence
- Make minor updates to our website
- Report on web usage using Google Analytics

The best candidate will have all of the above and possess an interest in photography or pursuing a career in marketing.

We require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week - prefer 20 hrs. Compensation is $10/hr.
