Description:

Successful nationwide sports photography organization is currently searching for talented action and group portrait photographers to capture images at high profile cheerleading and dance competitions. There is plenty of work each weekend for photographers that meet our requirements:

Work habit requirements:

- Must have a very professional attitude and high level of work ethic. This includes being truly reliable, interacting with customers and clients in a professional manner, as well as helping fellow staff members whenever possible.
- Events across the nation are staffed based on photographer?s talent not on where each photographer resides - therefore, applicants must be available for frequent travel.
- Competitions can have long hours requiring our photographers to maintain a spirit of working as a team.
- Applicants must have basic skills of proper composition and correct timing when photographing action. This is a fundamental requirement when working for this organization.
- While it is assumed that each photographer is talented, experienced, and properly trained in his/her field, applicants must be open to new ideas or methods of photography that is specific to the cheerleading and dance industry. This will require the ability to accept critiques and the possible adjustment of shooting style to reflect these methods.

Technical requirements:

- Applicants must have their own Professional DSLR equipment. Camera must be tetherable to a PC laptop - meaning when an image is captured, it appears on the laptop without any required downloading. Prospective action photographers will require a professional level digital DSLR such as Canon 1D or higher (or Nikon equivalent). A reliable backup camera is also required.
- 28mm-70mm lens if applying for group portraits
- 70mm-200mm 2.8 lens if apply for action photography.
- The ability to photograph action with the use of a monopod.
- PC based laptop with Windows XP/ Vista.
