Sony Sales Reps - Weekends
ActionLink is seeking Sales Event Representatives to conduct weekend product demonstrations from Oct 4, 08- Feb 3, 09. We thoroughly train our representatives on the following products and will be providing in-store assisted sales support for one of the leaders in the electronics industry!! HDTV Home Theater Cameras Camcorders Position Summary: The Sales Event Representative is responsible for all aspects of weekend selling support including but not limited to training, sales support, merchandising, demonstration and special events. The goal of the SER program is to ultimately increase sales. Position Qualifications: -Minimum requirement of a High School diploma with a preferred 2+ yr. college degree. -A minimum of six months training or sales retail sales experience in the electronics industry. -Have no prior issues in any retailer chain. -Prior proven sales ability is preferred. -Prior experience working on a similar structured program is preferred but not required. -Representatives must be willing to drive to an assigned store on a regular weekend basis and have reliable transportation to do so. Store locations might change throughout program but will remain within 50 miles of territory. Position Knowledge and Abilities: ?Be computer literate with knowledge of basic internet navigation and ability to rename and attach photos to email or call reports upon request. ?Ability to report sales successes. ?Have a solid knowledge base of the technology surrounding the category of Home Theater, digital imaging, digital video, home audio, etc ?Be professional and presentable. The representative is an extension of the manufacturer?s team and needs to portray the image of the manufacturer. ?Representatives must be available for Friday evening (2.5 - 4 hours) as well as Saturday and Sunday selling days 4 hrs each day. Program is 12 hours per weekend ?Representatives will need to work events every weekend Oct 04 -Feb 3. In the event of emergency, illness or need for time off, representatives must put request in writing detailing request need. All requests with the exception of emergency at least 2 week?s notice is required. Position Duties ?Sales Support oo Conducts sales events at store level o Insures inventory issues either too high or out of stock are communicated to immediate ActionLink supervisor and retailer appropriately. o Communicated weekly to supervisor on event details and challenges. o Training retail staff on products, messaging, sales enabling skills, promotions, during slow periods of traffic on weekends. O Event Merchandising - Places approved event signage and POP, as needed. Identifies additional signage opportunities at store level and communicates them to management. ? Reporting o *Communicates through e-mail and web boards as needed to insure all critical time sensitive information is given to the proper management.
